Our side porch

Our side porch cleared out and empty, in preparation for Hurricane Ike.

The morning after Ike blew through ... just some leaves blown in.

Two days later, we have started to put our plants and chairs back out.

Smile & wave everyone!

Our back yard

A view of our detached addition, upstairs is my sewing studio, downstairs is our family room/guest quarters. This is where we hunkered down waiting for Hurricane Ike to pass through.

The same view, the morning after Ike. Notice the Norfolk Pine has been blown over horizontal -- Ronnie has replanted it vertically again. Also note: one screen was blown off during the storm.
Minor damage, for which we are thankful.

We've enjoyed sleeping downstairs (where the windows open -- unlike our home where the windows are all painted shut) during the cool weather Post-Ike, without electricity.

The playground, after Ike

Hurricane Ike blew over head and rearranged many things ... especially trees.

The new playground equipment at our neighborhood park became the landing pad for this tree.

Another view ....
