Mary Poppins memories

Thank you Annette, for finding this first & sharing!
Enjoy --

This video reawakens fond memories of youth, innocence & Mary Poppins on the big screen.
The track is called 'Expialidocious' and is by this an Australian who goes by Pogo.

Pogo says: "the track is composed of a sine wave bass, custom drum sequences, and sounds recorded from the Disney film 'Mary Poppins'."

mathematically significant

Here's the photo clue of the reason why these quirky friends of our friends were married on March 14th at 1:59 (not 2:00) p.m.

Thank you to Louise Terrill (another good friend) for sending us the scrumptious chocolate mint pie in honor of "Pi" day.  What better way to celebrate "Pi" than with a circular pie on a special pi pieplate?

For anyone still in the dark, Pi is the mathematical number that never ends, does not repeat and is used to calculate the area and the circumference of any circle (among other things).

Pi = 22/7 = 3.14159..... (refer to pi-plate above or a nearby calculator)

ahhh, fond Geometry memories are flooding back in ....

P

Today at 1:59 friends of friends of mine were married in Vegas ... why at 1:59 you may wonder?

It's a mathematically significant number.

Is that ... ?

Larry Dierker was the featured Celebrity at our Little League Opening Ceremonies yesterday. Catching the first pitch (that Dierker tossed) was a Red Wing teammate of ours -- and here are my guys with Larry just after that.

Flamingoed!

They arrived quietly

in the bright sunlit afternoon

gathering around the sign

that announces to one and all who happen by

that we support the West University Elementary School PTO!

We've been flocked by the WU flamingoes this week, and isn't it fun!
I'm guessing it's in honor of my recent volunteer job as
the Bluebonnet Breakfast Chair

My Blue Chair

A new group I have found is called Today's Title is ...
As leader Helen Suzanne explains in her welcome letter:

"Titles spark of very different things in each of our minds, especially if the image that it goes with is yet to be shown. I'd like to invite you to join in with a little experiment to see what a title can stir in your immediate imaginations."

Helen posts a new title once a week and then the members post an image of their thought/response/idea that the words sparked. Everyone then enjoys the creativity and diversity that the same phrase ignites in each other. This is my first contribution to the group ....

Blue Chair

This is the blue chair that has lived in our home longer than we have owned our current home. This comfy blue chair has been a place to relax, to sleep upright (with that stuffy, drippy nose and nagging cough), to sit and meditate or to just be. It is our place of refuge.
